Bronagh Williams

Educational Psychologist

I am committed to taking a holistic approach to my work and I ensure that the child or young person remains the centre focus.

I am an educational psychologist with 14 years’ experience working both privately and within the public sector.

One of my core beliefs is that all children should be given every opportunity to achieve, regardless of their start in life. This makes me particularly passionate about working with children who have looked after status to help them to achieve their potential and be happy, safe and ready for life’s challenges.

I have extensive experience in the identification and assessment of special educational needs across preschool, primary, post primary and special school settings. My areas of special interest include Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Specific Learning Difficulties (e.g. Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia and Dyspraxia), and Child and Adolescent Mental Health.

Before becoming an Educational Psychologist, I was a primary school teacher working directly with pupils who had wide-ranging special educational needs. Through this teaching background, I take into account teaching constraints when working within a school and making recommendations in order to support teaching staff.
