Speech and Language Therapist
Kate joined the CAINT Speech and Language Therapy team in October 2019. Kate is based in
the Naas and Carlow clinics.
Kate is a graduate of Clinical Speech and Language Studies from Trinity College Dublin. Kate
is a member of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists (IASLT) and her
qualification is recognised by the Regulating Health and Social Care Professional body
Kate has past experience working with a variety of client populations across the lifespan
including disability services, community clinics and early intervention teams. Before joining
CAINT, Kate worked in a national hospital providing assessment, treatment and
management to adults and children presenting with communication and swallowing needs.
Kate has experience in completing assessment and intervention for children presenting with
delayed language, developmental language disorder (DLD) and speech sound disorders
(SSDs). Kate has provided speech and language intervention at an individual and group level.
Kate advocates for a collaborative approach with her clients. Kate recognizes the value in
discussing the client’s motivation for therapy when developing management plans.
To achieve this, Kate works in consultation with the CAINT multi-disciplinary team to
provide functional therapeutic input that can be carried through to everyday life.
