Niamh graduated from University College Cork in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Early Years and Childhood Studies. Niamh then went on to practice for three years as an early education practitioner in the United Arab Emirates. Here she gained valuable experience working with a diverse population of children. Niamh then moved to the UK in 2017 where she completed a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy.
Since joining the CAINT therapy team, Niamh has built up experience working with children from 0-18 years old with motor difficulties, sensory processing difficulties, social emotional difficulties and handwriting difficulties. She currently provides assessment and intervention in these areas. Niamh has gained experience assessing and working with children with developmental co-ordination disorder/dyspraxia, autism spectrum disorder and global developmental delays. Niamh works closely with a senior Occupational Therapist to ensure high quality and evidence based practice.
Niamh works closely with the multi-disciplinary team in CAINT to ensure best possible outcomes for clients. Niamh also liaises closely with families and schools to provide programmes and sensory diets.
