This webinar is an introduction to children's Occupational therapy at Caint with Senior Occupational therapist Dereena Minehane.

Occupational therapy helps children and young people take part in daily life to improve their health and wellbeing. Occupational therapy aims to support children and young people to be as independent as possible in daily activities and be successful in their environments. These daily activities range from play, handwriting, dressing, attention to bedtime ! Every child and young person have different needs and tasks that are important to them.

We work with infants, children and young adults with an impairment or disability in conjunction with their families, teachers and other professionals. We aim to support your child's development and sucess in these activities through play and individualised programmes.

In this session we will explore what is Occupational therapy and what it is that Occupational therapists do!

We look at what are some activities of daily living like dressing and playing and why they are important to you and your child.

We will talk about how your child may benefit from Occupational therapy and how to know if your child needs Occupational therapy.

This is an interactive session with opportunities to ask questions specific to your child needs with Dereena Senior Occupational Therapist
