When would you need an Cognitive psychology assessment?

Typically, these are completed when there’s concern about a child’s learning. For example; a child whom has a diagnosis of DCD and is not reaching their potential in school. This assessment can inform an application for assisstive technology. Similarly, if there is a concern that a child is very bright and not being stimulated in school, then these assessments can be helpful to inform a differentiated curriculum.

  • Liaison with teacher / school
  • Assessment of learning i.e. cognitive assessment
  • A parental feedback appointment
  • A comprehensive report that is accepted by schools and all services to access supports

 

Educational Psychological Assessment

When would you need an educational psychology assessment?

Typically, these are completed when there’s concern about a child’s learning. An educational psychology assessment screens for Specific Learning Difficulties such as; Dyslexia
